Why Green lense?

so this is the blog where you can enjoy topics such as goth-related issues, all forms of arts - also books and movies, and on top of all random crossing thoughts --but those are always the best aren't they? :)

so why Green lense?

I wanted to point out that all topics in this blog are seen from a rather "weird" perspective.. and maybe not something you hear or read often.. it's seen from a different point of view.. a green point of view.. from a green lense!

enjoy my blog :)

Why i'm anti-vegetarianism

Although i respect greatly that there are people in this world who still care about nature and about the safety of the wild life.. i do, really..but i have to say, that's just NOT the way to do it!

What i never understood, is why put yourselves in such a position.. why prevent yourselves from the most natural thing humans do, and have been doing since the beginning of time..? Why do you do it?
What i know is what i can see from the vegan vegetarian friends and people who surround me, is that most of them are very unbelievably poor physically, extremely thin to the bone, pale, weak.. they barely eat, and it just doesn't seem right to me.. so it became one of my interests and i wanted to know why they do it..
I asked around and still, none of the reasons i was given seem to make sense to me.. here's how i see them;
First of all, if you guys you are saving cows and chickens from being extinct, the human race has been hunting since ever, for all these years and yet, the most consumed animals are still there and in more than enough quantity to feed the world.. So why prevent yourself from eating what is naturally there and enough to feed you and others? (and I'm not saying that people should eat meat all the time, and eat nothing else.. for that is wrong; but a fair quantity per week is essential for our bodies) And okay sure you say that you can substitute meat with other ingredients that have the same nutritional value, but none of the vegetarians and vegans i know actually do that, they just rely on fruits and vegetables and such and its not enough and its not good..

Some say, humans were not made to eat meat, because they can't eat it raw, and they need fire to cook it before eating it, but I'll say, things are still happening the way they're supposed to happen in the natural being of the wild life, we're supposed to discover fire and use it to cook and eat meat, isn't that what differentiates us from being animals? We have the ability to join fire+raw meat to give us yummy edible meat, or-else we would have had the physical structure to allow us to eat it raw. So technically, by denying our meat-eating habits, you are in contradicting nature, and you're not in harmony with the natural cycle of life.
Because this is the cycle of life, and we are a sort of animals, more intelligent than others sure, but we are creatures with tons of similarities between us and animals, mammals specifically, we are made this way, we hunt and kill to eat and we eat to survive, just like the rest of the animals do.. You can't go asking a lion not to eat deer, it's not natural, and by being vegetarian or vegan, you are disrupting the natural cycle of life, not helping it. Exactly like it would be the most unnatural thing ever if a lion eats grass because it doesn't want to harm the poor deer.

Just like some animals only eat greens, and its their nature, and other animals only eat meat, and its also their nature, we are the type of creatures that only get full nutrition from eating both! And by changing that we are changing our human nature.
I've had people tell me before, about the difference being that humans can live on other things, and they don't "need" meat to survive, but in reality, they do, very much.. by surviving we don't mean only "staying alive" we mean getting the proper normal full nutrition, and in the case of my poor thin weak vegan friends, that's not surviving, that's a very slow death!
If you see that it's okay to harm yourself in order to save some animals from being killed, then you see that their lives and their existence is more important than your own.. and that just doesn't make sense to me.. Also that being a vegan is in a way, a harsher more difficult version of being a vegetarian, but also subtracting dairy from the equation, and animal-made medications.

I agree that killing for no reason is wrong and killing to take fur and other stuff is not cool and i don't support it at all, and i agree with all those who don't wear or buy any animal-made products, but as long as it's for the meat, and for eating, it's not a bad thing, it makes sense. I also agree that killing animals that are not a major support of meat is meaningless and it shouldn't be done, like rabbits and birds and dogs in some countries, that's not necessary and we can go without it.

In conclusion, being what you are, vegans and vegetarians, is being exactly the opposite of what you want to be. You want to be healthy, have a well balanced full nutrition that includes meat, you love nature?  be like nature, and get involved in the natural cycle of life.
Don't do it for fun, do it strictly to survive..

If you are so and you do it for other reasons i haven't mentioned, please share with me your reasons, i would really like to understand why you put yourselves in this lifestyle.

  1. I think everyone has the right to eat or not to eat whatever they want. Most things we do are not natural, so we should drop the argument that natural is right and unnatural is wrong; that would make it impossible to live. I do not eat meat (I do eat fish and dairy products, however, and I am perfectly healthy), and no matter whether my reasons make sense or not, it is my personal business, since I don't try to force my lifestyle on anyone.

  2. Hi you!
I'm a completely random swedish person who is in search for people who truly believes that veganism isn't the right way to go with your eating habits. I stumbled across your blogpost as I searched antivegan on twitter and so - here I am.
    Anyway.
I just first want to shortly answer some things in your post.
    1. For me, it doesn't matter what traditions we have had in our human race (while you speak of eating meat as "natural"). I don't consider for example slavery or the Holocaust good things, but (some) people at those times did and I don't blame them for that - we all are a product of our environment and the time we live in. Just because eating meat has been something we've done for a very, very long time doesn't make it less cruel.
which leads me to my second.. ->
    2. How can you say that the majority of the meat our planet consumes comes "natural"? That truly bothers me, while the breeding of animals for food is everything but natural to them. If we, for example, would simply stop inseminate animals today, the production (I say production because we use animals as products) surely drastically would go down in numbers. There is so much to say in this subject but that is just a simple thought and it makes sense, doesn't it?
    3. We don't need "substitutes" - we need protein, minerals, vitamins and fibres. And we don't need meat or animal products to get what we need to survive. This is simple knowledge about nutrition that every person should know. If you want to know more about where to get what, then - Google is your friend.
    4. This hunt thing is very related to number 2 because, and perhaps it is obvious to you too, the vast majority of the meat we eat come from breeding houses with terrible conditions. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to eat as much animal products as we do.
    5. Like with every other diet (meat based, plant based, no fat, no sugar and so forth), you can get malnutritioned and sick. BUT you can be informed, you won't "harm" yourself if you just know what you need and if you eat that. It's such a no brainer.

Well yeah, I tried to stay short and I hope you understand my perspectives. Feel free to answer them on my e-mail: fraudewi@gmail.com - it would make me glad :)

PS: does your green lense by any chance stand for an environmental green lense? If yes, then you should check out/think about what all the animals we breed eat and how much they need to eat! for example: http://wanttoknowit.com/what-do-cows-eat/

Think of all the resources we could be saving on for example soy beans (and with it the rainforest) and WATER and energy and everything! It's sick really, haha! :) Hope to hear from you soon!

  3. I do it because of allergies. Because I am allergic to wheat, egg white, milk, and I have not eaten beef for 6 years.

I not only feel better, I look better too. I think that doing it for health reasons would be the best reason.

Technically I am not a vegan though. I eat everything a vegan would eat but I add fish to my diet, again for health reasons. I also eat honey, but that is the extent. I wouldnt call what I eat vegan or pescatarian, I just call it healthy.

I like to compare my eating to a bear, plants, berries, roots, fruits, nuts, and fish. Albeit sometimes the eat small woodland animals, but bears can and do survive off of the foods listed above.

  4. You have a special condition, which is your allergies, now i have nothing against that, on the exact contrary, i think you're doing a great job eating like you are! And i completely support your diet..
It's others that follow a vegan diet for reasons i cant agree with, such as it being not natural to eat meat, or sympathy for animals, and many other arguments i've heard throughout my quest about veganism.. It's for those that this post is written....
But you keep it up..! Great job ur doing :)

  5. Hi Rey :) I'm glad you've raised these questions on your blog. I've been a vegetarian for 17 years and just turned vegan about a year ago.

About my physical health, I don't have any chronic illnesses, and haven't fallen sick for two years, apart for the occasional cough. I play soccer and, not boasting here, but I'm the fittest person on the team. What you have described about your vegetarian friends is very worrying. Can you tell them from me to look up 'how can a vegetarian keep healthy' on the web?

I believe that eating meat might have been once sustainable, but now with 7 billion of us on the planet, we need to cut down on eating meat before it's too late. There are many websites explaining the environmental impacts of eating meat, so I won't post it in this comment. This is one of the most persuasive reason for being vegetarian.

Another strong reason is that I believe animals can feel pain and emotion. Since we can live without meat, killing them for food is no longer a valid reason to me.

  6. In fact, about your friends, can you clarify their reasons for being vegetarian with them again? Why do they hardly eat at all? Could they have turned to vegetarianism in an attempt to lose weight, and ended up eating too little? The point of vegetarianism is not to lose weight, but to live healthily and minimize our harmful impacts on the environment and animals.
