Why Green lense?

so this is the blog where you can enjoy topics such as goth-related issues, all forms of arts - also books and movies, and on top of all random crossing thoughts --but those are always the best aren't they? :)

so why Green lense?

I wanted to point out that all topics in this blog are seen from a rather "weird" perspective.. and maybe not something you hear or read often.. it's seen from a different point of view.. a green point of view.. from a green lense!

enjoy my blog :)

The reasons why i don't watch TV

Ever since i was a child, i've always looked at the world differently than everyone else.. so it came a time where i found it valid enough to quit watching tv.. why? oh yes… these are the reasons why it's been 9 years today since i've turned the tv on to watch something:

First of all.. it all started when i found disney-cartoon network-comedy central-and all of the same category (yea don't forget i was 9 when i decided that), constantly insisting on the stupidness of the human race, demeaning it (indirectly) but very obviously.. in things such as ed, edd and eddy.. needless to dwell… that should suffice O.O
and i switched everything i watch to discovery channel and animal planet, espn.. enjoyed the natural scientific type of information it added to my knowledge..

a couple of years passed like that.. but then i was starting to notice, its not just the type of what im watching what matters.. i'm still spending an awful amount of time just sitting on my ass and doing nothing but starring at a screen..

so guys let me tell you something.. when a person sits and stares at a screen (tv,pc,etc..) regardless if for a long time or not, the human brain would turn into sleep mode, which means our brain would be constantly receiving information, but it's not functioning, it's not thinking and working.. it's what resembles dead.. that action of receiving information constantly without functioning information and making them, slowly kills our brain cells and tissues, and YEA believe it or not, it effects our level of intelligence..
so the way i look at it.. i imagine a race of humans willingly sitting and accepting slow death of the soul.. becoming stupider by the minute..

recent study shows that every single hour of television watched after the age of 25 reduces the viewer's life expectancy by 21.8 minutes, by comparison smoking a single cigarette reduces life expectancy by about 11 minutes.. turns out watching lord of the rings may actually be worse for you than a pack of cigarettes ..

its not technology that makes us advanced, its our brains guys.. and honestly we're failing to advance and move forward .. our ancestors were smarter and more intelligent than us its a fact.. after all, all the real improvements that our human race benefited from and still benefiting, came from their times..
we're just worthless creatures running after fun and entertainment.. when will we snap out of it? i wonder if we ever will before its too late..

oh yea… so thats why i don't watch tv :) 9 years and still keeping it up… who's willing to join me?

oh.. hear roger waters's song - watching tv

  2. "when a person sits and stares at a screen (tv,pc,etc..) regardless if for a long time or not, the human brain would turn into sleep mode"

So you've never made anything productive on a pc? That's a dangerous thing to say... Do you know where you would still be if there wasn't someone who was making PCs and/or productive things on PCs?

    1. i mean like watching a movie on PC, or live TV channels on PC.. i'm talking about the action of staring at the screen without actually using it and doing something on it- "our brain would be constantly receiving information, but it's not functioning, it's not thinking and working"
"that action of receiving information constantly without functioning information and making them"

If you are reading and staring at a book, or even an e-book (on a PC) is way better than watching a movie, because our brain analyses the words in the sentences in order to understand them and the meanings behind them, in contrary. in a movie there's nothing to process, pictures in motion are way easier to enter our memory storage, that's when it goes to sleep mode :) and i'm not at all saying that PCs can't be extremely beneficial in lots of other ways :)
